New TA Orientation

What is it?
An opportunity for new graduate teaching assistants to begin learning about best practices in college teaching, become familiar with FIU and federal policies about college students, and find out about important resources available to TAs.
Who should attend?
- TAs who will begin working with students in Fall 2013.
- TAs who have already begun working with students but have not yet attended TA Orientation.
- TAs who are participating in or interested in joining the TA Certification Program. (For details, select “services” in our website:http://cat.fiu.edu)
When & where?
TA Orientation is a 3-day event, and TAs must attend all 3 sessions to complete this mandatory requirement. It will be held August 20-22 (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday), from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm—in GL 100.
