Cultural Anthropology, Latin American and African American Studies, Race, Education, Liminality
As a native of Miami, Florida, I've fortunately been exposed to the myriad cultures the city has to offer, as well as to the social injustices that minorities and immigrant populations face. In the spring of 2008, I graduated from the University of Miami, where I completed a double major in Anthropology and Psychology, as well as a minor in Africana Studies. My current research includes the liminal experience of Miami's Cuban-American enclave, and cross-cultural analyses of education systems and ideologies.
