Kimberly Gilchrist-Wynter is a second year PhD student in the Global and Socio-Cultural studies program. She earned a B.A. in Latin American and Caribbean Studies from Florida State University and a M.A. in Latin American, Caribbean, and Latino Studies from the University of South Florida. Her research interests include social and cultural practices of the African diaspora in Latin America and the Caribbean, the complexities of racial and ethnic identity, and the formation of national identites within the Anglophone Caribbean.
