I use my background in anthropology, economics, and community health sciences to study food systems. Right now, I work in the Dominican Republic studying the mobile component of the food economy on the north coast. I also run a small educational non-profit called Somos Girasoles that serves the same communities that I study. I have conducted a few independent research projects in the DR over the last five years and I hope to build on my findings through the pursuit of a Ph.D. in Anthropology.
