Born and raised in Ecuador, I have developed a passion for interdisciplinary approaches to understand resilience, biopolitics, development, and crisis; particularly in coastal communities. Being a consultant in several tourism projects required by Ecuadorian Secretaries while teaching at the Tourism Program at “Escuela Superior Politecnica del Litoral” in Guayaquil, motivated me to pursue a Doctoral Degree in GSS. The Ecuadorian National Secretary of Sciences and Technology awarded me with a scholarship to complete my studies at FIU. Among experiences at FIU, I am Graduate Teacher Assistant; I was Research Assistant, and former president of the Global Indigenous Group. Prior to joining GSS, I earned a Master's degree in Tourism Management from the University of Alicante.
